2010 Christmas Luncheon

We had a great time at our 2010 Christmas Luncheon. Betty picked a fantastic restaurant the food was very delicious. We had such great fun.

All the Ann's were dressed up in their Christmas finest. Everyone out did themselves on the Ann gifts, there were several great outfits, furniture, and other great gifts. Betty picked a story about Bonnie and Pamela that was really funny, and a little on the mark.

A big thank you to Vicki K. for getting Bonnie a gift that every president needs - a gavel. So watch out girls for the next meeting!

We had a lot of very cute Ann Estelles all busy cooking and bringing in some delicious cookies. Very good job on the aprons and extra credit for bringing in such wonderful props. If only we were doll size we would of had some fantastic cookies!

Barbara Wilson brought in her 10 dolls for membership. She has a very nice collection with a broad range of dolls. We are very happy to welcome back our first president.

Sonya Heim did a program on Anna Brahms dolls and brought in some for display.

Vicki and Denise Mooren did a wonderful job brining in the refreshments. Very delicious chocolate covered strawberries.

Our Christmas party is next month so no regular meeting. Please turn in your checks to Betty if you haven't already. We are going to have a great time and remember to bring in your Ann Estelle gifts our limit is $10.

Rosa Belle's 90th Surprise Birthday Party!

The club wanted to show Rosa Belle just how much we love and appreciate her so we threw her a surprise birthday party. Rosa Belle was a founding member of The Twickenham Doll Club and has been to every UFDC convention since 1972-2009. Sandy Page made her a Iris themed doll and Bonnie gave her a Kewpie doll that was painted by Paula. She received other great gifts and cards. Kathleen Collins made her a beautiful cake and delicious cupcakes. Members brought in many dishes of food, It was a great party.

September Meeting.

We had a great show and tell meeting for September. Several members brought in goodies they purchased at the show and a few just brought in dolls to show.

This was the first meeting that was presided over by our newly elected officers. Hopefully we did a good job and can bring some new and exciting things to the club for the next two years.

We had two guests Sallie Polk and her mother Jessie who brought in some of her dolls to show. She has a very nice collection that has a lot of sentimental value.

Our Anne Estelle theme was school days. There were a lot of creative outfits. We had several naughty Annes who skipped class and now must report to detention! Shamefully most were the new Officers!

I unfortunately was so concerned over bringing the food that I forgot to take pictures of all our show and tell and school day Annes. If you would like for your dolls to be posted please email me the photo and I will put them on.

I have photos that I took later of Bonnies dolls that she brought in. And I have photos of my reproduction A.Marque and two of PL Deatons cloth dolls. Sorry to everyone for not getting photos of the other great dolls.

They were left at the show for the display if these are ours please email Katherine. Thank you to everyone who loaned a doll our display is great advertising for our show.

2010 Luncheon

We had a great turnout for the luncheon this past Saturday. The food was great and im sure everyone had a great time. A big thank you to Vicki Kendall for making the very cute Kewpie dolls and for setting up the luncheon. She created the dolls and the box. It was a great surprise to open up the packages and see such creative work and such a cute doll. Little Tony's was a good location and the food was excellent. She also hand made the grand prize the cloth Kewpie.

Our outgoing President Sandy Page presented her former officers with parting gifts. She hand made each doll specifically for each person. Im sure these will be a very treasured memento. Sandy was also presented a Bleuette that was made and painted by Vicki Kendall and the clothes were made by Betty.

2010 Doll Show

Thank you to everyone for making this such a great show. Our education display looked fantastic with all the members dolls. And Kat did an amazing job displaying Ellowyne and all her outfits. There were numerous compliments on the professional job our club did for her outfits, many people believed they were Ellowynes factory clothes.
