March Meeting

We had a fun and busy March Meeting. Sally brought in her wonderful Attic Babies. She had several on display to go along with her program. I was unaware of what an Attic Baby was and was delighted to see such creative and fun dolls.

Carla brought in her 10 dolls. We very much enjoyed seeing some of her dolls. And are all excited that she is rejoining the club.

Carolyn provided great food. She really out did herself and the club is very appreciative especially with the desserts! Look out Betty this is going to be hard to follow!

Our Anne Estelle's had a great time dressing up and attending the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party as always everyone did a fantastic and creative job on the outfits.

We are having a guest speaker for our April meeting.

And if you would like to go on the luncheon to Barbara's house April 16th, and would like to carpool please email me or Bonnie to arrange a ride. It will be about an hours drive. Everyone is asked to bring something food or drink to share.

Our trip to Ponchatoula, LA is fast approaching, If you did not sign up yet please get with Pamela. We need a head count to arrange for the van. The cost is $150 + food + admission. This is a great price for all we will be doing and we are planning to have a great time and see a great deal of dolls. Pamela is now collecting money for the trip.

Twickenham Doll Club's - Junior UFDC

Sandy has started a chapter for the Junior Collectors for UFDC. She has 8 girls so far ranging in ages 8-13. There are no fees for being a member. They are planning to meet about 5 times a year.

They have met twice already and have made "no sew outfits" out of felt for Leeann. Every girl now has a Leeann, some girls attended our Leeann luncheon and other Leeanns were donated to the girls. If you know of any children that might be interested please let Sandy know.

The Jr Collectors will be at our March meeting. It's important to pass on the love for dolls to the younger generation, the support of our club is important. Im sure Sandy would also be interested in any doll related crafts that would be suitable for children or if anyone would like to host a program about dolls just let Sandy know.

Sonya.
